FYI: It should be noted that when Zumbrota District 260 consolidated, in order to promote unity, they archived all previous trophies and awards, and the new district began accumulating its own honors. The archived items are on display at the History Center.

School Buildings

Image: First School

Located on the corner of East Avenue and 3rd Street. Built for $2,900, the 24' high, 30' wide, 50' long structure was shaped like a barn with hipped roof and one room on each of the two stories.

Located on NE corner of Mill Street and 4th Street. Built 1870 with four rooms, it originally had a white exterior.

Image: Third School

Dubbed "the castle," or "the 1897 school," it occupied the block between West 4th and 5th Streets and Mill Street where the second school had been located.

The new high school (with various preschool sections and athletic fields), originally built along the east side of Mill Street in 1963.
