After such a big responsibility, it is to carry out a project of the development and implementation of a new extension of the current Mérida International Airport in a new location to promote economic growth in Mexico, all managers agree on the following points:
- Firstly, a preliminary design of Yucatán International Airport has been carried out, achieving a final product which meets all the requirements extracted from the society's demand.
- Such an ambitious project has encouraged the team to give the best of everyone, getting beyond expected. This project has given the opportunity to go deeper than ever before in project management and business and commercial vision of an airport.
- Throughout the project’s development there has been several times in which the team has had to deal with unexpected situations. This has happened thanks to the great and conscious initial planning of the project and its subsequent plans for improvement and action and control.
- In such a wide project, there are so many people working at, which represents a great hardness in order to audit and monitor all the tasks that must be done having traceability end to end. The project management is a great tool that helps us to deal with these situations.
- It's very important to define properly the idea of our business and our vision, mission and values which will be defined all the future project.
- As a whole, there are so many reports that will be performed so as to have a continuous feedback of the business such as customer report, human resources report, financial report, operational report...
- The feasibility and sensitivity studies, finally, remark and give consistency to our project proving that it will be profitable and succeed.
