Further pursued a one-year Executive Programme in General Management (EPGM) in online mode from Indian Institute of Management, Jammu in 2022, strengthening managerial and leadership competencies. Life Member of Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Life Member of High Energy Materials Society of India (HEMSI), Life Member of Institution of Engineers (India).
Experience: Currently serving at a Hyderabad-based R&D laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Previously worked at Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), a premier DRDO laboratory in Chandigarh.
Possess over 18 years of extensive experience in the design, development, and prototype fabrication of diverse defence-related subsystems and technologies. Expertise includes process optimization, technology development, and research and development initiatives focused on the indigenization of critical defence systems using Additional Manufacturing & CNC technologies.

About: Supriya is a PhD scholar in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar with a background in Mechanical Engineering and strong interdisciplinary exposure to materials engineering. She has industry experience in R&D at Tata Auto Comp where she worked on dual-clutch transmission (DCT) components, cost-reduction and localization projects, and design improvement of critical parts. She was involved in technical evaluation, supplier development, project coordination, and patent-related documentation, gaining hands-on exposure to production planning, and component redesign for manufacturability.
Her final year project focused on the weldability and mechanical properties analysis of Nimonic C263, a nickel-based superalloy used in high-temperature applications. She also completed internships at Bhilai Steel Plant (Bar & Rod Mill) and RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, where she gained practical exposure to steel processing, rolling operations, and large-scale industrial systems.
Her academic interests integrate mechanical design, materials behavior, and advanced manufacturing processes.
