CONVENTION 2024

The YCS Convention for Pezar Deanery was held on August 4, 2024, at St. Joseph College Auditorium, Bajpe. The convention commenced with a prayer service led by Bajpe YCS students. The dignitaries for the inaugural ceremony were Rev. Fr. Ronald Cutinha - Parish Priest of Bajpe, Fr. Roshan D'cunha - Director of YCS/YSM Mangalore Diocese, Fr. Anil Lobo - Director of Pezar Deanery, Fr. Vincent Dsouza - Minor Seminary Bajpe, and Mr. Mervin Vas - Animator of Pezar Deanery. The Central Council members took charge of an ice-breaking session. A total of 66 students actively participated in this convention. Fr. Roshan D'cunha had a discussion and talk with all the students on the topic centered around challenges faced by youths during adulthood. Later, a demonstration of a cell meeting was conducted. The Eucharist was celebrated at St. Joseph College Auditorium. The afternoon session began with an action song. A talk on the topic of marriage and family life was given by Fr. Alwyn Dsouza, and a talk on Indian aviation was also presented. Games and action songs were organized in the evening for all the students. The convention concluded at 4:00 PM with the YCS/YSM anthem.
