CONVENTION 2024

The Ycs Convention for Episcopal Deanery (ECD) was held on 28th July 2024 at Urwa church hall. Program started at 9.05 a.m. The convention commenced with a total of 179 students participating. The Bejai unit invoked God's blessings through a prayer song. The inaugural ceremony and welcome speech were given by Ms. Melissa D'Souza, president of ECD, and the ECD Deanery office bearers were introduced by Fr. Lanson Maxim Pinto, director of ECD. The convention was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, parish priest of Urwa parish. Ice-breakers and action songs were conducted by the YCS Central Council. Fr. Roshan D'Cunha had a discussion and talk with all the students on the topic centered around challenges faced by youth during adulthood. Later, a demonstration of cell meeting was conducted. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated, followed by a session on marriage and family life conducted by Fr. Alwyn Richard Dsouza from the Family Life Service Centre, Bajjodi. Later, the diocesan executive committee organized action songs and games. This was followed by a vote of thanks from Veanna, Secretary of ECD. The Convention Concluded at 3.30 p.m. with the YCS Anthem and YCS Claps.
