CONVENTION 2024

The YCS Convention for Moodubidri Deanery was held on 14th July 2024 at Holy Rosary Church, Alangar. The Convention commenced with the prayer service led by Sidakatte YCS Students . The  dignitaries for the Inaugural ceremony  were Fr. Onil Dsouza - Vicar Forane of Moodubidri Deanery, Fr. Melwin Noronha - Parish priest of Alangar  Unit, Fr. Roshan Dcunha- Director of YCS/YSM Manglore Diocese, Fr. Melwin dsouza- Director of Moodubidri deanery  , Mr. Arun Fernandes - Animator of  Moodubidri Deanery. The  program was officially inaugurated  by revealing the Creative poster prepared by Alangar unit. Fr. Onil Dsouza and Fr. Melwin Noronha shared   their words of wisdom with the students. The former DEXCO Team took charge of an ice-breaking session. Atotal of 156 students participated in this convention.Fr.Roshan Dcunha  had a discussion and talk  with all the students on the topic centerd around Challenges faced by youths during adulthood later a demonstration of cell meeting was conducted .12:00 pm a holy Eucharistic mass was celebrated at Alangar church and lunch was provided for all the students. The afternoon session began with animation  by Former DEXCO Team.  A talk on the topic of Marriage and family life ,was given by Fr. Alwyn Richard Dsouza from Family life service centre, Bajjodi . Later the elections for  Moodubidri deanery office bearers was held and the Oath was taken by all the elected deanery office bearers. Games and action songs were organized in the evening for all the students by former DEXCO Team members. The convention concluded at 4:00 pm with the YCS/YSM anthem.
