During the Cores 3 and Core 4 Teaching Internships, University Supervisors (usually retired middle or high school English teachers) observe and conference with English teacher interns and their mentor teachers.
The Supervisors provide both encouragement and informed, constructive feedback to support teacher interns' professional growth; they also provide an additional expert perspective beyond the mentor teacher's and program chair's. Their collaborative leadership is essential to this program's success.
