“The Vault of Heritage.” WRI 212: Art of the Essay: Professor Carter Smith, Fall 2017.
I believe that this is the best essay that I wrote for this class. It is my favorite for a few reasons: it was about my favorite subject, but it also contained such rich descriptions. I believe that I effectively take readers (regardless of their Latin experience) on a journey and allow them to feel the joys of reading Latin.
For all those who ask what I will ever do with my Latin degree, and for those who question the importance of Latin: this one’s for you.
