Pump Screens

In the Fall we designed a simple screen setup that would be installed into the pond bottom around both of the fountain pump intakes to prevent coarse algae, plastic bags, and other pieces of garbage from reaching the fountain pump intakes and clogging the fountains. The designs can be seen below.

Due to our focus being shifted primarily to accomplishing a site survey, creating a stream restoration plan, and working on the trash-collecting boom along with the fountains being removed from the pond for winter and not being able to get in contact with the company that removed the fountains, we were unable to pursue our original plans regarding the pump screens.
