For our program we felt it was best to combine marketing and communication because we know throughout the workday, employees can be very busy and the last thing they want to do is read a bunch of different handouts. By combining these, we are getting the word out about different activities and also selling them the idea of why this will be beneficial for them to attend. We use vibrant color schemes so that it draws their attention and then give them all the information on how to attend and all the potentials that they can gain from joining the fun.
We felt it was best to use our resources to our advantage and by combining these, we are going to shrink the marketing budget while being just as effective with our well thought out strategies. With the extra money we can focus on creating better interventions or incentives to increase participation.
