Great job at our first competition. We have so many rookies this year, and you guys really focused and had a really good first experience. We have two more to go and we will improve as the season goes along! It seems like NJMBDA is scoring lower across the board. Our score seemed fair compared to who we were up against. Williamstown is bigger and more experienced with more staff and gear. Delran was the USBands Open class state champion in recent years. Tonight we will lock in on music. Report to the school 6-9.

Friday 9/25
We will stay after school today. The photographer is coming to take group and individual photos at 3:00. The Boosters will feed you at 4:00 and we need to dress and move to the field by 5. Lots to do and very little time!

Good news! The Halloween Parade was approved. Add 10/24 to your calendars. Homecoming was changed to 10/9. This change moves our Band Night to 10/23.
There is a change to Saturday's schedule for the Clearview competition. We will meet at the football field at 3 to review visuals and the new drill in Part 5. We will still load the bus by 4:30. Be sure to bring some money if you want to visit the concession stands after we perform. You must wear your black show shirt and something underneath your bibbers so you can change out of them when we are done. Only Brody, Lizzie and Mikayla will go on the field to accept awards this competition; they will need to stay in uniform.

A-maz-ing job this weekend. I heard so many great comments both at the game and at the parade. I am so proud of all of you! My favorite comment called you 'a class act'.

Welcome back! It's a new school year and we are already off and running. Lots of stuff coming up so be sure to check back here often to keep up to date with details.
Tuesday and Thursday this week, 6-9: Rehearsal on field
Friday 9/11 - First Home game
We will stay after school this day. Meet in the band room after the last bell. You will have time to eat a snack or small meal. Bring something from home (we will not have food provided for you.) You will also be able to eat at the Snack Shack during the 3rd quarter so bring a few dollars to support the Boosters!
We will wear our full uniforms for the first time. Please remember these uniform must-dos:
Dress and Grooming Standards
Wear tall, solid black socks that cover your skin completely while marching.
Remove all jewelry, watches, rings, and earrings before putting on the uniform.
Avoid wearing makeup or fingernail polish unless you are part of the color guard.
Tie long hair up tightly into a bun or ponytail so it stays hidden under your hat and off your collar.
Wear your WHSMB2026 marching band teeshirt under your uniform.
3:00 - Open container and trailer. If you need to get gear, arrive early. Set up stands.
3:30-4:20. Music in the band room. We have a LOT to go over. Let's work to impress.
4:20-4:55 Break and change.
5:00 Walk to the stadium.
6:00 GAMETIME!
Half time -We will play and perform Parts 1-4 and stand still for Part 5
You will have 3rd quarter off for food and friends. Bring $ for the Snack Shack. Don't be late for 4th quarter!
Cheer like crazy! This will be fun. We bring the fun.
Saturday 9/12 - Septemberfest Parade
Meet at the school at 8:30. Get your uniform bag and be ready to board the bus and leave by 9:00. Parades are a lot of Hurry-Up-and-Wait. Use the same uniform guidelines and a clean tee shirt.
We will play September and the Throwback Cadence. Parade starts at 11:00 and we should be home around 1:00.
SCORE band will operate again this year. If you were not able to schedule band, we will meet every SCORE A day in the band room 11:02-11:32. Many of you already already have me or Mr Gunther on D Days and we will be having choir and sectional practice during D days as well. If you plan to be a part of the concert band this year, you will need to be there every time.
Looking ahead:
Our first comepitition is on 9/19 at Clearview. We perform at 6:45. Parents are encouraged to come and cheer you on!
