Perry Co. JFS Hosting Career Fair Oct. 20

Perry County Job & Family Services is hosting a Career Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The event allows local jobseekers to connect with area employers looking to fill various roles. 

This will be the last Career Fair of the year hosted by Perry County JFS. The event will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. at the JFS Opportunity Center, located just off State Route 37 across from the fairgrounds in New Lexington.

OU Mobile Clinic Providing Women's Health Screenings Nov. 19 in New Lexington

The Ohio University Heritage Community Clinic will be in New Lexington on Thursday, Nov. 19 offering women's health screenings.

The free clinic will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Perry County Job & Family Services, 5250 State Route 37 across from the Fairgrounds.

Clinical breast exams, pap tests, and same-day mammograms will be offered at no cost to patients.

Perry County Transit Provides Rides to Food Banks

Perry County Transit is helping area residents access needed food resources in the community. 

Residents needing a ride to an area food pantry may call Transit at 740-342-2810 at least 24 hours in advance of their planned trip. 

Rides are offered Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fares are based on the destination, and out-of-county services may be available. 

Wellness on Wheels Clinic Visits Perry County Health Department Weekly

OhioHealth's Wellness on Wheels Mobile Clinic makes weekly stops at the Perry County Health Department.

The mobile clinic will be available every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. offering primary care, pediatric care, women's health and OB services. 

Appointments can be made by calling 740-331-7373. The health department is located at 2235 State Route 13 in New Lexington.
