Meigs County Cleanup Day Scheduled for Sept. 12

The Meigs County Health Department , Meigs Soil & Water, and Ohio EPA are hosting a clean-up day on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Clean-up day is an opportunity for the community to safely dispose of household items, junk and scrap items at no cost. Scrap tires will also be accepted for disposal at 50 cents each, limit 10 per person. 

Items not being accepted include hazardous waste like chemicals and paints; General household trash; fluorescent lamps; or medical or biohazard waste. 

Items can be dropped-off at the Meigs County Fairgrounds between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Proof of residency will be required at drop-off.

OhioHealth Mobile Clinic Visits Pomeroy Every Tuesday

OhioHealth's Wellness On Wheels mobile clinic makes weekly stops in Pomeroy.

The clinic offers routine check-ups, chronic illness management, annual physicals, and behavioral health support for anxiety and depression, among other services, regardless of a patient's ability to pay.

Wellness On Wheels visits the Meigs County Health Department at 112 E. Memorial Drive in Pomeroy every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to Noon.
