Hocking Board of Elections New Ballot Following Candidate's Passing

The Hocking County Board of Elections is asking absentee voters to watch for a second ballot that has been mailed. 

A separate ballot in the race for Fourth District Court of Appeals has been issued following the recent passing of Judge Peter B. Abele. 

The new ballot features Republican candidate Jayme Hartley Fountain and Democrat Todd L. Grace.

Abele's name appeared on the original ballot that was mailed, but due to his passing, all votes cast for him will not be counted.

Logan Kiwanis Costume Parade - lineup at 3:30 p.m. at PNC Bank, 199 E. Main St., with parade and costume contest starting at 4 p.m.

Jack O' Lantern Jubilee - 6 to 8 p.m., Downtown Logan

Featuring chalk art, touch-a-truck, dancing and more fun activities for the kids.

OU Mobile Clinic Making Multiple Stops in Logan this Fall

Ohio University's Heritage Community Clinic will be making multiple stops in Logan with its mobile unit this fall.

The clinic provides free healthcare services to those who are uninsured or underinsured. All mobile health clinics will take place at Shrivers Pharmacy in Logan at 21 Hocking Mall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

HAPCAP For Health Market Offering Evening Hours Once a Month

The HAPCAP For Health Market at Hocking Drive is extending its hours once a month to help serve more families in the region.

The market will now be open the second Wednesday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. Regular market hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Area residents of Hocking, Athens, Perry, Meigs, Morgan, and Vinton counties with incomes under 200% of federal poverty guidelines may visit the market once a month. The market is located at 35222 Hocking Drive in Logan.

Logan Transit Offering Free Fares Through July 2027

Logan Public Transit is now offering free rides anywhere in the county thanks to HAPCAP and AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio.

Anyone in Logan and Hocking County can now access reliable transportation at anytime.
