Fall At The Round Barn Kicks-Off Autumn Fun in Lancaster

The annual Fall At The Round Barn Market returns to the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster Sept. 11 and 12.

Fall At The Round Barn features nearly 200 vendors both local and from across the midwest. Vendors will have a variety of items like glassware, home goods, boutique clothing, spices and food products.

Early bird entry on Friday, Sept. 11 is available starting at $12 per person. General admission is also available at $12 per person with Saturday admission being $7.

20th Annual Lithopolis Honeyfest Returns Sept. 11-12

The annual Lithopolis HoneyFest returns in September!

For 20 years, the HoneyFest has celebrated honey and honeybees with live beekeeping demonstrations, a bake-off, live music, craft vendors, kids activities and much more.

Dates for this year's show are Friday, Sept. 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Annual Corvette Gathering Returns to Downtown Lancaster

Come out to Downtown Lancaster Sunday, Sept. 13 for the annual Ohio Corvette gathering!

This is the largest gathering of classic corvettes and corvette enthusiasts in the state.

Main and Broad streets will be shut-down during the event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. but downtown restaurants will be open! Admission is free for spectators.

StarMH Foundation Hosting "Carnival For A Cause" Fundraiser Sept. 13

The StarMH Foundation will have its third-annual suicide prevention fundraiser Sunday, Sept. 13.

The event will be at Pine Lake Estates from 1 to 4 p.m. at 479 Ross Road SE near Lancaster.

The afternoon includes several classic carnival games, a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction, free food and a touch-a-truck experience with Berne Township Fire personnel.

The Lancaster Community Band will host its annual fall concert at Rising Park on Sunday, Sept. 20.

The concert will begin at 4 p.m. at 1120 N. High Street near the tennis courts at Rising Park.

Bremen's Oktoberfest Celebration set for Sept. 26

The Village of Bremen will have its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26.

This year's festivities will take place at Howell Park at 9090 Marietta Road NW from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The day kicks-off with the parade at 11 a.m. immediately followed by a car show on Main Street from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The rest of the day's festivities include a beer garden, carnival rides and games, food trucks and live music.

Frontier Spirit Takes Visitors Back in Time Sept. 26-27

The annual Frontier Spirit 1799 experience returns to Alley Park in Lancaster Sept. 26-27.

Frontier Spirit explores the trials and tribulations of the first settlers in the Ohio Territory during the late 18th century.

There will be live outdoor theater reenactments, plus skilled craftsmen demonstrations for soap-making, cooking, blacksmithing, and more stations to explore.

Days of Knights Brings Middle Ages to Alley Park in Lancaster Oct. 10-11

Days of Knights brings the experiences of the Middle Ages to Lancaster's Alley Park Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11.

The two-day event features live reeenactments of historic European battles from the Norman invaders of Britain in 1066 to the crusades of the 13th century.

Days of Knights focuses on historical accuracy rather than Medieval fantasy, so there won't be any pirates, dragons, or magical elements involved.

Fairfield County Fair Wraps-Up Ohio's Fair Season Oct. 11-17

Ohio's last county fair of the season takes place in Lancaster with the 176th Fairfield County Fair, Oct. 11-17.

Admission is $10 per person each day with week-long passes available at $35 each. Admission for seniors 65 years or older is $5 each with the exception of Senior Day on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Fall Family Fun Awaits During Lancaster's Fall Festival, Bark in the Park

Enjoy fun fall activities with the family during Destination Downtown Lancaster's Fall Festival and Bark in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Both events will take place on the square in Downtown Lancaster from Noon to 5 p.m. along N. Broad Street.

YMCA Hosting Second-Annual Boo Fest at RecPlex

The Robert K. Fox Family YMCA in Lancaster will have its second-annual Boo Fest on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The event will be at the Y's RecPlex at 1180 E. Locust Street from 4 to 7 :30 p.m.

Boo Fest is free to attend with activities for all ages. Families can enjoy a safe and fun Trunk-or-Treat along with a costume contest, face painting, arts-and-crafts activities, and free mini-classes in gymnastics and tumbling.

Alley Park Pumpkin Hike set for Saturday, Oct. 24

Alley Park in Lancaster will have its annual Pumpkin Hike on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The day begins with pumpkin carving from 8 to 11 a.m. Kids and adults can come out and carve a pumpkin to display at the park.

Later that evening, the park will have a bonfire with concessions from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The trail will be open for hiking from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Humane Society's Barktoberfest Returns Oct. 23-24

The Fairfield Area Humane Society is hosting its annual Barktoberfest and Haunted Trail at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds, Oct. 23-24.

The weekend begins Friday, Oct. 23 with the haunted trail at the Round Barn from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Saturday inclufrd activities at the fairgrounds dining hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the haunted trail reopening that evening from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The dining hall will have food, raffles, pet costume contests and trick-or-treating, and games for the kids. Raffles will also be available with proceeds going towards the Humane Society.

The Fairfield County Fairgrounds is located at 157 E. Fair Ave. in Lancaster.

Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum Hosting USO-Style Dance Oct. 24

Fairfield County's Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum will host its 30th annual USO Style Hangar Dance on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The event features The Nostalgics Big Band playing classic tunes and a huge collection of vintage planes and military vehicles ton display.

A dance lesson will be offered at 6:30 p.m. with the event starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 each and include a complimentary barbecue buffet.

Senior Hub, Library Help Elderly Navigate Technology Hurdles

The Senior Hub of Fairfield County and the Fairfield County District Library are teaming up to help older adults with technology.

The free classes will be offered at The Senior Hub off Cedar Hill Road in Lancaster 10 to Noon the fourth Monday of each month.

Seniors will learn how to use a cell phone to make calls, text, take photos, use apps, and stay in touch with family and friends. They’ll also be able to learn computer basics like sending emails and using the internet with confidence.

Lancaster DAV Connects Veterans Through Monthly Meetings

The Lancaster Chapter of Disabled American Veterans meets the second Saturday of every month at 11 a.m. Meetings take place at the American Legion Post #11 off Canal Street in Lancaster.

Lancaster DAV meetings are open to veterans residing in Fairfield, Hocking and Perry Counties and are a great way of learning about local resources for disabled veterans.

Fairfield Center For Independence Offers Medical Equipment Library

The Fairfield Center For Independence offers a Medical Equipment Library for any Fairfield County resident.

Residents in need of a wheelchair, knee scooters, crutches or other mobility equipment can borrow these items at no cost through FCI.

FCI also offers free adult incontinence supplies for any patient who needs them.
