Going Green!

Crayola Colorcycle

Crayola and schools across North America are banding together to help kids understand the importance of their role in protecting the environment. That’s why Crayola launched Crayola ColorCycle. Through this initiative, students in K-12 schools across the US and parts of Canada can collect and repurpose used Crayola markers, ALL brands of other markers, dry erase markers and highlighters! ColorCycle will eliminate placing hundreds of tons of markers into landfills!!! To learn about their other Green Initiatives, click here.

The National Crayon Recycle Program

This “recycling” education, community service has made it possible to stop more than 120,000 pounds of unwanted crayons from going into landfills with the help from schools, organization educators, and kids across this country. Thank you for your efforts to help the Earth!

The NCRP will accept ALL crayons for recycling, repurposing them into new usable crayons. Please leave the wrappers on the crayons if you can, because it's hard to sort the black, purple, and blue. However, they'll accept all brands, sizes, broken or not. We'll just collect the unwanted ones at Woodland Meadows and send them in! To read more about the NCRP, check out their website.
