at Cruising or Racing events
in messages of sailing groups (Also check the Notices Tab in the group profile)
by sharing with friends
Those route notecards often have "USB" in their name. Read below, how to create your own route.
Before you can load a Route from menu, drag and drop USB notecard(s) from inventory anywhere on the Compass.
Click the icon Folder with green arrow to open the Route Selection Menu. Following options are available:
Number (1-6) = Select route
Once the first waypoint of the route is loaded, the BTT-pointer appears on the compass and the Text Hud shows VMC+BTT.
Note: If the loading takes to long (e.g. on wrong notecards or if Waypoint list is to long) loading will be canceled after a timeout of 59 seconds.
To cancel loading manually, toggle NAV OFF and ON.
SLurl = enter a SLurl from the world map or just enter the region name - read below
WP = enter a waypoint number of the current loaded Route - read below
Page = if you have many notecards loaded, you can go to a menu page directly - read below
SETTINGS = open the NAV-Settings
< > = go to previous or next page
Note: This menu opens automatically when the NAV is switched on and no route is loaded.
Click the icon Folder with red X to open the Delete Route Menu. Following options are available:
Number (1-6) = delete Route (after confirmation)
Note: To disable this confirmation, go to Options > Channel enter nq
Cancel Route = ends the route and closes the NAV
Delete ALL = delete ALL routes from contents (after confirmation)
Note: This confirmation is not optional.
Page = if you have many notecards loaded, you can go to a menu page directly
DONE = close the Delete dialog
< > = go to previous or next page
You can go to a single waypoint.
Open the world map and click 1x on your desired target.
Click Copy SLurl
On the Compass NAV click the icon Folder with green arrow to open the Route Menu
Select SLurl
Paste the SLurl, (You may enter just a region name as well.)
Click Submit
Note: If you enter nothing and press "Submit", the current route will be cleared from memory.
The Waypoint loads...
A red beacon shows the target inworld.
The Pointer on the Compass shows the direction to the target.
BTT (bearing to target) shows on the TextHud.
You can jump to a waypoint of the current route.

Select WP
Enter the waypoint number
If you have many notecards loaded, you can go to a menu page directly.
Click the icon Folder with green arrow to open the Route Menu
Select Page
Enter a page number
Create a simple USB compatible notecard:
In your inventory create a new notecard with a short descriptive name.
Open your map (ctrl-M).
Click 1x on the map where you want to start your route.
Click button "Copy SLurl".
Paste SLurl in your notecard.
Add new line for next waypoint (press Enter).
For next waypoint repeat from step 2.
Save the notecard.
Note: Avoid empty lines. Maximum number of lines: ~145.
The data format looks like this:

Create a detailed USB compatible notecard:
In your inventory create a new notecard with a short descriptive name.
Open your map (ctrl-M).
Click 1x on the map where you want to start your route.
Click button "Copy SLurl".
Paste SLurl in your notecard and Add a COMMA.
Enter a short mark info (example: 'CCW' or 'CW' ... etc.) Add a COMMA.
Enter a range value when the Auto Advance shall take effect (example '50') Add a COMMA.
Enter a short comment (example: Travel Infos or Remarks for Racing, Do NOT use commas within this comment!).
Add new line for next waypoint (press Enter).
For next waypoint repeat from step 2.
Save the notecard.
Note: Avoid empty lines. Maximum number of lines: ~145.
The data format looks like this:
