Different screen resolutions results in different text sizes. You need to adjust the Compass size to fit the text inside the textplate:
Go to Options > Edit > Size
Resize till text matches textplate horizontally
After resizing, use Text height buttons to center the text vertically

You can change the content or the format of the text hud info:
Click the Text Hud, to display full information or just boatspeed
Click the time numbers to display timeformat 00:00 or just seconds
You can change the Boat/Windinfo text (upper right) - click on it:

Boatname and description (in Racemode with Race ID and Racewind details)
By default a Heading number is additionally displayed above Compass. Click on it to scroll trough:

If you have your Compass at the bottom of the screen, you may want to swap the above HDG text with the bottom boat info hud text:
Go to Options > Edit > Swap Text
Choose from 12 colors for the infotext
Go to Options > Textcolor
No matter what Textcolor is set, the Boat infotext turns Green, if Boat-Racewind is detected. If you want to change that:
Go to Options > Channel, enter col
If its hard to distinguish between Aqua and Green Color on Sail Trim Display, you can select a darker Blue color:
Click the two small blue dots nearby the Timer button
Adjust the opacity of your Compass to your liking:
Go to Options > Edit > Alpha
If you liked the Download / Upload and Stopwatch buttons of Compass Version 4.3 you can get them back:
Go to Options > Channel, enter btn
WindCompass uses a individual textured Boat or a generic boat as a "Compass Needle". You can toggle between the two:
Click Boat button > Needle
The generic one reduces the texture load.
When applicable, colors on a Sail Trim Display show the trim setting for your sails, similar like the given Hud from the boat. This is active by default. You can enable/disable it here:
Go to Options > Channel, enter trim
If its hard to distinguish between Aqua and Green Color for the Sail Trim Display, you can select a darker Blue color:
Click the two small blue dots nearby the Timer button
You can select 3 styles for the AWA numbers: black, yellow and colored numbers on outer ring
Click on the scala to change or to switch them off.
For most Bandit and TMS boats there are boom angle numbers on the outer ring to help trimming the sails. They are shown by default.
Click on them to show / hide
If you use a channel number for your boat, WindCompass can use the same number to send wind or chat commands to your boat and receive chat commands on that channel number as well.
Go to Options > Channel, enter your boat channel number
You may change the Countdown behavior (stop at zero or keep counting)
Go to Options > Channel, enter count
Default: keep counting
You can choose which avatar name the Shouter shall use:
Click the little gear next to the Megaphon-icon
Click 'Name' to toggle between your first legacy or display name.
By default the Shouter uses local chat.
Shouter and Whisperer are controllable via Gestures too.
For this, set channel numbers here. Channel numbers must be different.
WindCompass can remember your last Position, in case you need a TP to your last position after coming back from a "normal" crash (not a disconnect crash)
Go to Options > Position
By default, WindCompass warns you, if you attempt to leave Racemode. You can turn that Warn message off here:

The Smart Mode takes care of many automatic functions and detections.
If you want to do all by yourself, you can change that setting here:
Click the T of the word 'SMART'
The NAV settings are adjusted for the most cases. Normally you don't need to change anything here.
The NAV auto-advances to the next mark when getting within a range (default 50m). Set other range here:
Go to Options > NAV > Range
By default the next mark is shown by the red vertical beacon inworld. You can change that here:
Go to Options > NAV > Beacon
Make sure, your Viewer supports RLVa. This is needed to prevent the world map from opening each time NAV advances to next mark.
If that Hovertext on the beacon origin is in the way of view, you can move the beacon origin:
Go to Options > NAV > Origin
move to Ground level / My Eye Level / Altitude (50m)
(This 50m is changeable in the NAV child prim description -> Edit Linked)
NAV shows a Region crossing alert, optional with sound. You can change settings here:
Go to Options > NAV > Simcross
As Bonus the Sail Trim Display can be used as button to send raise and moor commands to the boat.
Click on the 2 small white dots below the Stopwatch button to enable/disable this function.
(This is enabled by default)
WindCompass automatically shows the Sail Trim Display for boats that have the SailTrimDisplay Addon or the Info Hud installed. You can enable / disable it here:
