Week 5 Notes to Parents:
We have been having very productive sessions with the students and are seeing progress in their learning! This week I will be out of the country so Ms. Trudy will be holding down the fort. We have the session planned for Week 5 and are sharing our plan here.
We continue to see that the students' need more practice on their larger multiplication facts so we showed them these free games and suggested they "play" a game for at least 10 minutes each school day. They can do it right on their phones so feel free to text them the link since we don't have their cell numbers.

Factor trees are VERY important so we will review them again and be sure that all students understand Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM).
We will also review basic operations with large numbers (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Finally we will discuss how to keep a math notebook. See the image on the right. We will look at student notebooks and try to get them refreshed :)
