Early Wednesday Morning Sandy Shores was awoken to the sound of an aggressive police chase. The suspect lead police on a 20 minute chase around Sandy weaving in and out of traffic and swerving around the blocks. The chase lead to a small warehouse outside of town beside the Yellowjack at postal 280.

The suspect, not wanting to give up he crashed his car and proceeded to run on foot. Police caught up with him and he pulled a knife hitting an unsuspecting K9 officer. The officer went down but his K9 went into full attack mode on the Suspect. Other officers arrived and the suspect was taken into custody. The officer was airlifted off the scene with the air ambulance making a landing on the dirt road to pick him up. Officers would not comment on his condition.
