Lucie & Max - 2024

From Lucie:

I was in the project for about 3 months and had an amazing time. I was made so welcome and warmly received and made friends and family.

I taught 5th grade at the Roman Catholic School, danced at the cultural centre and got involved in the Girls Empowerment Club. Here I spoke about topics such as health and self-esteem.

The communication and organisation for the planning before the stay and also on site is very well organised. Eric, the director in Tafo, is always approachable and tries to make everything possible. I also had interesting conversations with him about cultural exchange.

There is accommodation with shared bathrooms and delicious food cooked by Dina.

I can recommend the project to anyone, as it is so diverse and you have many opportunities to support and develop yourself.

From Max:

I was only there for 3 weeks, but it was a great time. I was immediately integrated and made to feel welcome. I coached the younger children in football, which was great fun! I also helped out at school and in the girls club. All in all, I had a great time and got to know some great people.
