A vampires gains more than immortality from the blood they consume. Vampire Blood grants its owner the use of a number of special abilities and Disciplines.
Most of these powers use up a vampire's Blood, so one must be cautious when employing these gifts, lest they be consumed by Hunger.
The following powers are available to all vampires, regardless of their clan.
Unless intentionally brought to a semblance of life, the body of a vampire is functionally dead. Pale or ashy skin, cold flesh, and lack of breath or heartbeat are all "dead" giveaways.
By channeling Blood through the dead capillaries of their skin and into their shriveled little heart, a vampire can appear human for a night, gaining a heartbeat, body temperature, and breath, among other things.
The results of this power may vary depending on how in touch the vampire is with whatever remains of their humanity.
A vampire can rouse their Blood to temporarily augment any of their Physical, Social, or Mental, Attributes.
This alone typically does not allow a vampire to achieve superhuman feats, but it can give them the slight advantage they need to wrestle a hardy foe to the ground, fast-talk their way past a bouncer, or steel themselves for a 6-hour research session at the public library.
Being dead, vampires do not recover from their wounds naturally over time. Instead, through time and effort, they must rouse their Blood and magically stitch themselves back together.
Superficial damage (stabs, cuts, small caliber bullets, etc.) can be healed relatively quickly.
Aggravated damage (burns, amputations, shotguns blasts, etc.) will take much longer to recover from.
