Ventrue

Kings, Tyrants, Blue Bloods

One concept above all defines clan Ventrue: Power. The clan has long been the ruler of most of vampire society, holding more positions of power than any other clan, and they are loathe to give that up. The Ventrue truly believe they were destined to rule all vampires.

The Ventrue believe in strength of tradition and lineage. They are the most selective of the clans when Embracing new members, choosing only those they believe will contribute to the success and dominion of the clan. Candidates are typically selected among those who show great potential, but aren't so famous that their sudden disappearance would cause great waves.

Most Ventrue, particularly older ones, carry themselves like nobility and treat everyone as their inferiors. In modern nights, younger Ventrue have learned the value of humility in the face of your betters, but this has done nothing to dampen their noble spirits.

Disciplines

Dominate

The Ventrue consider themselves the masters of this Discipline, using it primarily to exert their will on their inferiors. For a Ventrue, using Dominate comes more naturally than simply asking someone nicely to do something for you.

Fortitude

Fortitude allows the Ventrue to stay on their throne when the enemy comes knocking at their gates. Older Ventrue are nearly impossible to assassinate on the spot due to their Fortitude.

Presence

The Ventrue seek to tame the court, whether through love and devotion or fear and terror, and Presence is a helpful tool. They use it to charm, intimidate, lie, enrage, or otherwise influence their courts.

Bane

The Ventrue are in possession of rarefied palates. Each has developed a taste for a specific type of victim. Preferences range greatly, including but not limited to:

Genuine brunettes
People of East Asian descent (preferably Chinese)
Homosexuals
People with THC in their blood
Mentally ill people
People who spend a lot of time with animals
Soldiers/law enforcement
People with large amounts of adrenaline in their system

If you want to feed on anything other than your preferred victim, you must spend Willpower.
