Clan Gangrel are outcasts, wanderers, rogues, and nomads who hold closer ties to the wild places and the wild Beast within them more than most of their city-bound cousins. They Embrace from the ranks of survivors, fighters, and explorers. They care little for looks or titles, but for accomplishment and reputation.

Common former lives of Gangrels include the hardened inmate, the seasoned park ranger, or anyone who managed to survive some disaster where most didn't. The Gangrel's attunement with their inner Beast also leads to the Embrace of those with a predatory instinct such as determined investigators, violent thieves, or Wall Street wolves.

Clan Gangrel is definitely not the furry clan.

Disciplines

Animalism

A Gangrel can use Animalism to take on an enhanced animal companion. Others will use it to turn pets on their owners, terrify enemies with packs of dogs or swarms of rats, or lure strays for a quick snack.

Fortitude

Gangrels are known for their hardiness. Their use of Fortitude to achieve supernatural resilience is simple and efficient.

Protean

Gangrel are famous for their mastery of Protean, which allows them to straddle the line between vampire and beast. They use its shapeshifting powers to turn their bodies into cruel and lethal weapons.

Bane

The Gangrel's closeness with their inner Beast manifests whenever they Frenzy. During a Frenzy, you gain one or more animal features: patches of fur, a musky smell, a behavioral tic, etc. These features last for one more night afterward, lingering like a bad hangover.

Each feature will lower one of your Mental or Social Attributes by (-1).
