Tremere

Scientists, Wizards, Usurpers

Clan Tremere is not a "natural" clan. Their power was stolen from an elder vampire by an order of mortal mages who sought practical methods of achieving immortality. Hence the title "Usurpers."

Even for vampires, the Tremere are considered mysterious and strange. They practice an arcane and esoteric form of Blood Magic that is unlike any of the Disciplines of other clans.

In the past, the clan had a strict Pyramid hierarchy, with each member being rendered completely subservient and loyal to their direct superior through their Blood Bonds.

In the present, the Pyramid has collapsed and all the bonds of servitude are broken. The clan has fallen into complete ruin and its members have either gone into hiding, sworn allegiances to stronger powers, or were destroyed.

Disciplines

Auspex

Tremere use Auspex to perceive the auras of others, search for magical evidence, and securely communicate across vast distances.

Blood Magic

Master thaumaturges, the Tremere's expertise in versatile Blood Magic makes them a valued, if mistrusted, pillar of vampire society.

Dominate

The Tremere will do almost anything for the sake of knowledge and influence and Dominate lets them get away with it. Additionally, Tremere usually can't be bothered with the subtler nuances of diplomacy and persuasion and will simply use Dominate to get what they need from mortals.

Bane

Since the breaking of the Pyramid, Tremere Blood is no longer capable of Blood Bonding other vampires, although they themselves can still be Bonded. You can still Blood Bond mortals, but they have to drink much more of your Blood for it to work.
