Major Project Group formation and Guide allocation

1. Please find BTECH.EE.2017.MAJOR.PROJECT.GUIDE.ALLOCATION.pdf containing Guide allocation to respective groups.

2. Once Guides have been assigned to Major project groups, all registrants are required to report to guide for all their pursuits under Major project and Seminar.

MAJOR PROJECT REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

Students of 6th Sem (2014-18 B.Tech. EEE),

Following action is desired from students while registering for 7th Semester:

• • As prescribed in regulation, all registrants shall register for Practical Training in 7th Sem only.

Case 1: Students planning to work for Major Project outside NITK during 7th Semester

1. Required to register for (Major Project 1)MP1, MP2, Seminar and Practical Training (Totalling to 11 Credits).

2. File your application for seeking permission from The Dean(Academic) allowing less 1 credit registration against regulation prescribing minimum of 12 credits. This application shall be submitted through proper channel (Through FA, DUGC, HOD to DEAN (ACAD)).

3. Follow Major project process documentation as specified in regulation, wherein external guide shall be appraised about regulation adherence and required to keep communication with internal guide.

Case 2: Students planning to work for Major Project outside NITK during 8th Semester

1. Here you can Register MP1+MP2+SEMINAR = 09 Credits only

2. File your application for seeking permission from The Dean(Academic) allowing less 3 credit registration against regulation prescribing minimum of 12 credits. This application shall be submitted through proper channel (Through FA, DUGC, HOD to DEAN (ACAD)).

3. Follow Major project process documentation as specified in regulation, wherein external guide shall be appraised about regulation adherence and required to keep communication with internal guide.

EE498 Practical Training (0-0-3)2, Credited in 7th Semester (only), B.Tech.(EEE) - Report submission

All registrants of EE498 are required submit following through CR in a single CD for whole class latest by 31st August:

• • One single PDF file of "PRACTICAL TRAINING REPORT" in following format as a record of practical training:

• 1. PDF File name: 14EExxx.PDF, where xxx : is roll number of registrant.

  2. Title sheet as per suggested format for Major project in NITK Curriculum.

  3. Scanned copy of Training certificate (Inset in single pdf file after title sheet).

  4. Index of chapters / sections of report.

  5. Minimum of 10 pages of report as per institute recommended project report format.

EE448 Seminar (0-0-2)1, 8th Semester, B.Tech.(EEE),

1. In exceptional case wherein EE499 is registered along with EE449, and Major project is executed outside institute EE448 is credited together in 7th Semester only

2. Respective Major Project guide will be registering for this Course and also submit 'S' / 'N' grades and submit along with Project grade submission process.
