Ferroelectric thick film

The project titled "Ferroelectric thick films for phase shifter applications" was sponsored by DST, govt. of India, with a total outlay of Rs. 11.00 lakhs. The project commenced on 01.10.2005 and completed successfully on 31.03.2018.

In this project novel glass-ceramic compositions, based on the ferroelectric material (Ba0.70Sr0.30)TiO3-y(B2O3-x SiO2) were synthesized by sol-gel method. An important constituent of this study of glass-ceramics was the development of a kinetic model for elucidating kinetic parameters associated with the crystallization of the ferroelectric phase.

Furthermore, such glass-ceramic compositions were used for thick film ink formulations and prototype thick film capacitors were successfully fabricated and demonstrated for Phase-shifter applications
