Notepad++ (Run Command has been disabled in new installs)

From version 7.6.x, Notepad++ stopped adding browser links to the run command as compromised browsers could cause security issues. It is better to open your HTML file into the Browser from the actual file (in the folder).

So as I show in the video above, what you need to do is

  1. Create and edit the html file in Notepad++ and save it to a folder on your drive.

  2. Open up Windows Explorer (the one you use to look at files on your computer) and navigate to the folder containing your html files.

  3. Double click on the HTML file

This should open up the HTML file in your default browser.

Now you can edit and save the HTML file in Notepad++ then view in the web Browser.
