The portal can be found at http://volunteers.aarp.org.
Follow the instructions on the screen to log in.
If you run into any issues accessing the portal try using this Tip Sheet.
If you have trouble, call the Help Desk number given on the screen.
Note: Chrome browser seems to work best. Doesn't work well with Microsoft's Interenet Explorer.
Click on the Submit a Request box in the middle of the screen. (see image below)
Select a category and topic that describes your problem.
Use this PDF to figure out what category and subtopic you need to choose for your request.
Enter your name in the search box at the top of the screen.
Then click on your name to go to your record.
Scroll down to the Addresses box on the right side of your screen.
Hover over the street address. A box will pop up so you can see the whole address
OR - click VIEW ALL
Scroll down to the Addresses box on the right side of your screen.
Click on the down arrow to the right of the address you wish to change.
Make your changes, and click SAVE.
You will need to use the AARP.org site -- which is different from the Volunteer Portal.
Log in to your AARP.org account at AARP.org.
Click on your name (on the upper right side of the ribbon running across the page.)
Select MY ACCOUNT.
Select ACCOUNT DETAILS.
Click EDIT next to EMAIL.
Enter and confirm your email address in the window which appears, and click SAVE.
Click OK to confirm.
All volunteers have access to nine of the libraries under the Library tab.
Most relevant to most of our volunteers is the Tax-Aide: Training and Tax Law folder, which contains the latest NTTC version of the 4012 (non-password-protected), as well as other policies and procedures, resources, scope, tax law and tools
to complete required online AARP TaxAide-specific training
If you don't get access to LMS, you may need to set some privacy/security settings in your browser
