"From the shadows, an Axiamin walks forward. She smiled maniacally as the guards opened fire on her. Dust settles as they lower their guns. Then the scream of a man began, followed by everyone else. Gods Above and Below, blood tasted better when fresh."
Origin
During the Era of Beasts, the Axiamins too were Origin Beasts known as Blood Demons. Creatures of the night that drained and devoured the blood of man and other creatures. However, Agepe descended down from the heavens and purified the Blood Demons. Removing their innate hostility as she showers them in her teachings of love and mercy. However, tragically at the end of the Era of Rising, Agepe would be found murdered. Displayed onto the Axiamin's temples for all them to see, they accused the Divine Fathir, the only other major divine being actively intermingling with the mortals to be the culprit.
Thus creating Malum Vita. As they launched the first attack against followers of Fathir, they forgot Agepe's teachings as they simply desire her vengeance.
When the War was ended by the Soul Eaters, they retreated to the far corners of their nation, eventually becoming the most technologically advanced race in all of Tellus as a means to escape the current stage of the world in which power is only granted by magical individuals.
Appearance
Known for the horns on their heads, Axiamins is the name of the species, but in reality, they derive from two subspecies with each representing one side of the same coin.
There are the Kiamins who mostly govern the race due to their much larger numbers and the Purimins who tend to avoid the affairs of the Kiamins due to their harsh nature.
Kiamins are typically very aggravated and hyper individuals, often they are the ones who represent the aggressive nature they often are stereotyped to have.
This is because their VITA's are still tied to the disappearance of their Goddess, who once represented love and compassion. Without that... and assuming the theory that races are defined by their divine beings is true; without love and compassion, you leave a majority devoid of those feelings. Now this isn't the case for some Kiamins but it's more often or not that the majority are.

Biology
Kiamins have a naturally red horn that takes root at their skulls. Which is once again a result of their Goddess's disappearance. To them, it represents the love they once lost. A proud hate against the one's responsible for her death. Axiamins are godless creatures which is a negative trait to be seen for a race. As part of their rejection of the heavens, the Kiamins are very bashful of any other divine power. Pure and utter rejection of divine power in favor of the strength of one's own soul.
The horns on an Axiamins head, represent the power of the Axiamin. Due to the horns not actually having a biological existence but more so a symbolic representation of their VITA, it is possible to shatter one's horn to gain an extra boost of power. However, due to these horns being quite literally a part of their soul, it's often that these shattering's tend to be permanent.
Axiamins are a really long living species, who live on average 3000 to 4500 years old.
Subrace - Purimins
Kiamins who lack horns become Purimins! Kiamins often look down upon Purimins for breaking their horns. The Kiamin race wear the horns on their heads as a proud show of their rejection against the divine power. A proud hate that they embrace which is exactly why they look down upon Purimins because they reject this hate. They reject the extreme hate Kiamins have against all beings and they try to embrace the original teachings of their Goddess.
The spread of the Purimin populace began a racial divide in their species leading to Purimin creating their own culture and ideology. While their culture still does not include the Heavens, they are much less abrasive about it than Kiamins are.
In some cases, No Horn Axiamins are downright banished from their society. Axiamins who insist on shattering their last horn for power or are born without are degraded as outsiders because it is what makes them unique. Without it, they have nothing.
This goes without saying but Axiamins are a prideful race. Where status comes to those born with the ability to present themselves as the icon they depict themselves.
All Axiamins have the ability to control their blood.
It is unknown from where the Axiamins first got their blood manipulation, but it is a general theory that the Axiamins were originally derived from common Blood Demons that were reformed when the Goddess Agepe descended from the heavens. So when Agepe just vanished she left the Axiamins unable to control themselves and thus regressed with some of their Ancestor's abilities coming back as a result.
The exact potency of this blood manipulation varies from Axiamin to Axiamin as it is a trained function, like how an athlete trains their body to complete runs faster; This blood manipulation is as strong as the practice put into it but it should be noted that since this is a biological skill, the body tends to run out of energy faster then the Vita. Thus they can only tap into their hemomancy for around 1 RP turn before having a cooldown of 2 RP turns. Naturally, because of this biological limit the Axiamins are only able to control their own blood.
