The stone gave way to a bright glow. Shards of stone fell to the side as the miner put side his pickaxe and wipes his brow, a faint smile on his face. "That's five years of advancement for us."
Overview
Aurite is a notorious ore for it's singular effect: It reacts when in contact with VITA. This means that Aurite can be manipulated, processed and even coded by those with the skills to do so, known as Codex Coders. C.C's are the backbone of any major nation due to it's property of functioning as a catalyst. Aurite is formed when extreme major concentrations of VITA occur in a area.
Now normally such natural conditions wouldn't apply due to how much it needs. But the Nameless War had unnatural effects on the environment and one of them is the formation of Aurite Veins generated by the masses amounts of VITA. Raw Aurite in itself is quite rare however since most of it was found relatively close to the surface. In past times after the Nameless these sprinkles of ore could quite literally just be underneath the surface of the earth. Furthermore these ore veins are scattered across the Elder Continent due to the overflow of Raw VITA.
When nations had realized this ore's forbidden potential, mass excavations of earth were uplifted so these veins could be obtained. In present times they are extremely rare and when found, are only used for one thing: Aurite Tools. Abnormal equipment that hold a Link within it, allowing the use of VITA Abilities to Threadless individuals and Vitalists alike. A rare variation of Aurite Tools however are called Aurite EX which do not inhabit a link; Instead it holds the Road of the Vitalist.
With sufficient training anyone can place a Link into a Aurite Tool, but only Codex Coders can place a Road within the tool. EX Tools are often regarded as the strongest versions of Aurite Tools because a Road is naturally more stronger then a Link. However the body can only handle so so many Links or Road, so Vitalists cannot wield more then 1 normal Aurite Tool due to clashing of different VITA's.
Anymore then the person will experience a pain as their Path struggles to incorporate the new Links, If this lasts then the Vitalist simply combusts.
Threadless individuals however are exempt from this. Capable of wielding as much as they please.
