Design user experiences with entertainment strategies such as storytelling, empathy, scarcity, and reward structures to motivate users beyond reaction to action.
The students will:
Identify target markets, which could include but not be limited to educational tool, healthcare process, non profit experience or manufacturing process.
Identify and discuss the ethics of persuasive design in the gamification of products.
Analyze and plan the transformation of an existing experience using gamification techniques while integrating inclusive and socio-emotional, entertainment, and universal design strategies.
Identify an effective delivery system such as extended reality, social media application, or web/app.
Create personas, journey maps, game documents, and low fidelity prototypes.
