Nancy Ann is the head chef, morale officer, lounge singer, unofficial counselor, and occasionally the reigning queen of chaos aboard the U.S.S. Starchaser and later the U.S.S. Calcifer.
Originally a celebrated Intergalactic Chef known for her lavish, diplomatically sensitive banquet programming, Nancy’s culinary career spans diplomatic missions, high-level summits, and war-zone morale operations. Over the years, she’s become less interested in accolades and more invested in staying close to her family, especially her son, Dantastic, and grandchildren Ethan and Karista.
Wherever Dan went, Nancy followed. From the battle-scarred hull of the Starchaser to the polished lounges of the Calcifer, Nancy’s presence is as warm as a fresh-baked pie and as sharp as her chef’s knife. She rarely talks about her age and never acts it. Guests visiting her galley are as likely to get a home-cooked meal as a life lesson, a story about old Chicago, or a sly warning not to cross her unless they want their replicator privileges revoked.
She's particularly fond of her granddaughter Karista, who now co-manages Nein Forward (the two-story officer’s lounge aboard Calcifer) and was mentored in full Nancy tradition: equal parts flourish and discipline. Nancy occasionally performs there as a lounge singer, captivating crews and admirals alike with a voice that carries old jazz, soul, and stories from a thousand planets.
