CMDR DANTASTIC MALETIC

Dantastic is a chaotic, charismatic enigma wrapped in sarcasm, self-made catchphrases, and an unwavering sense of confidence. Despite claiming to be “as straightforward as a warp core breach,” most who meet him find it difficult to tell when he’s being serious, if ever. He speaks in riddles, jokes, and metaphors, often predicting future events with eerie precision.

His uncanny intuition and seemingly impossible awareness of unfolding situations has led some to believe he’s not entirely bound by conventional spacetime. Dantastic himself fuels the mystery further, often quipping, “I’m a Q. Just think of me as a Q.” He isn’t. Or so he claims ...usually.

He has, on rare occasion, referenced the destruction of his homeworld, "Kharak", with a degree of sadness that doesn't match his usual bravado. “It burned. Long time ago. Not my timeline anymore.”

Whether he’s a time-looped being, an extradimensional observer, or just a really weird guy with incredible luck, Dantastic plays a vital role aboard the USS STARCHASER. A Science Officer and pioneer Holographics Officer, his presence is both disruptive and essential. His plans work. His instincts save lives. No one quite knows what he is but he shows up and gets things done, while something weird about second breakfast afterward.

EARLY LIFE

Little is known about Dantastic's Early Life, although it is however known that Time Travel shenanigans' are at play. He has a Son named Ethan from an earlier relationship, but also an out-of-her-time Daughter on the ship that he hasn't played a part in concieving yet. Most information about his early years comes from vague questions he has answered or stories that his mother told... "like the one about when the school thought they got one up on Danny and made him sign a contract that if he did his schoolwork and didn't act up he wouldn't have to go to time out in the principals office.. except he loved the principal so guess what he deliberately didn't do". The stories seem to consistently show that he was intelligent and willing to think outside the box.

STARFLEET ACADEMY

Dan claims frequently that he joined Starfleet Academy for the sole purpose of asking Rahhmi out. It took a while, and several attempts, but eventually he got his way when she loudly announced that she would go out with him if he passed the Kobyashi Maru test! His response was a smile and a statement of "I was waiting for that!" and grabbed her hand. They went to where he had apparently already made an appointment to take that exact test. An air of confusion was found when he successfully defeated the test by challenging the enemy Klingon General to a warrior's game of Rocks Scissors Paper Lizard Spock. The Klingon Boarding party were spawncamped as they beamed over. While acknowledging that he technically passed the test, Starfleet questioned how he had come up with this particular loophole though evidence was never actually found that tampering had taken place.

Rahhmi repeatedly asked how he accomplished it, going so far as to try the same tactic less than a week later, but found that it was patched out. She was then extremely curious about Dan and his background which seemed quite non-existent despite some side-digging she had done, but for every question she asked he had a credible story that seemed to come out of thin air.

HOMEWORLD: When asked for his Planet of Origin, Dan has answered "Kharak" and even supplied holographic incarnations of it. Though Ship computers have a record of the planet, they know a plethora of non-essential information regarding it, but have no clue how to locate it in the universe.
FAMILY: Rahhmi at one point suggested that he had no family while talking about her Brothers. He disagreed, pointing out Nox who was standing outside with another group. "That's My Brother, Nox. You know him." Though she remembers seeing him before, she'd never payed much attention. Nox waved and smiled as if he knew what was being talked about despite being at least 20 meters away.
PAST RELATIONSHIPS: Rahhmi pointed out early after they started dating that Dan seems to know a lot about women for someone that wasn't very social. He then pointed out another student named Silver as his ex girlfriend, and commented that he has a son named Ethan with someone he was briefly married too, but that Rahhmi would have to wait til their first ship assignment together to meet him.
FAMILY IN STARFLEET~ At their Graduation, Rahhmi introduced Dantastic to her father Jack who recognized Dan's attraction to his daughter. After a short conversation about Intentions and Duty. In need of more credibility, and since he was asked why none of his family were present, Dan pointed out Admiral Maletic as being his Grandfather, and "like a dad" to him. The Family reputation Dan now had instantly won Jack's respect, though Rahhmi stared at Dan with Narrow eyes.
MOTHER AND SON~ As their shuttle was about to dock with U.S.S. Starsock on their first posting, Rahhmi reminded Dan that he'd promised to introduce his son. He chuckled replied with "I'll introduce my mother too! But first.." as his son ran up and gave him tagged him, and said "you're it!". Dan ran off after his son and the two goofed around a bit as rahhmi followed a bit behind, watching them happily. a woman named Nancy stepped up next to her and added "They're cute aren't they? That's my son and Grandson, Dan and Ethan!"

This trend continues, Though the questions came less and less frequently, slowly giving Rahhmi the belief that regardless of what Dan was, he could do what was needed when the situation called for it. She had thus developed two general theories on him, according to her personal logs.

HOLOGRAPHICS SCIENTIST

Commander Dantastic is one of Starfleet’s pioneering Holographics Scientists, specializing in next-generation interactive technologies in the early 2400s. As part of a cutting-edge initiative, Dantastic develops and deploys holographic interface systems... a powerful evolution of LCARS that utilizes projected photons for fully interactive, three-dimensional controls and displays. Unlike traditional touch-based panels, these holo-interfaces allow crew members to manipulate complex starship functions with gestures, voice, and immersive overlays, enhancing real-time responsiveness during critical operations. Due to the system’s significant power requirements and unique calibration demands, it is only deployed on specially retrofitted vessels with dedicated officers like Dantastic overseeing its integration and design.
