Normally if you live further out from the city, public transportation is limited so having a electric car would make you more eco-friendly. By having an electric car there will be basically no need for a gas station because you could charge your car at home. If you have solar panels, charging your electric car would basically be free, so you save more money long term compared to if you have a petrol running car.

One of the best transportation methods for being sustainable is cycling/walking. When you are bike riding or walking, you are not harming the environment at all. By walking/cycling to places instead of driving a car, you are lowering CO2 emissions and making yourself more healthy and fit.

Taking buses and trains can help you get to your destination faster. If most people took buses, there would be hardly any cars on the road. Therefore you could avoid traffic and get to your destination faster. Not to mention CO2 emissions would drop drastically and air quality would improve.
