TITAN PARTNERSHIP LIMITED
The Titan Partnership is a unique cross-phase membership network of Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools, VET Colleges, Private Training Providers and Universities in Birmingham. Working together with businesses and community partners, we are helping to improve and enhance the life chances of children and young people across the Partnership. Titan Partnership is a charitable company limited by guarantee – registered as a company with Companies House (4005034), and as a charity with the Charity Commission (1081749). Titan is a Birmingham based partnership supporting more than 22 thousand young people and manages a budget in excess of £1 million.
Titan is located in the North West area of Birmingham, England’s second city that includes some of the most culturally and ethnically rich and diverse areas of Britain, but also amongst the most socially and economically disadvantaged. Every member of Titan is committed to combating disadvantage, with a shared belief in the tremendous potential and cultural richness of the inner city.
The Titan Partnership has over 50 member institutions. Many of these establishments are composed of between 70 % - 90 % of students from BME backgrounds. These include children from SE Asia and the Caribbean particularly but in more recent years from Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Afghanistan, Africa and especially other EU countries including The Czech Rep and Romania and to a lesser extent Portugal. This project will enrich our pupils understanding of other cultures but also their understanding of the complexity and depth of our culture, tradition and values. The Titan Partnership will involve a number of Titan schools in this project. We will identify those schools and teachers’ best placed to meet and deliver the requirements of the project and participate fully in mobility activities and hosting events. We aim to involve schools with different ethnic cohorts in the project thus showcasing the depth of culture and traditions we portray.
