Students will take the implicit bias test(s) and reflect on their results.
Students will choose one method from the examples of understanding diversity, equity and inclusion, or create their own method to help craft an understanding of users other than yourself and then analyze their chosen game or project.
Though not a tool explicitly designed to help media creators. Taking it may help you to develop your own tool around the topic of implicit bias. Take the Harvard Implicit Bias Test here.
There are many Implicit Association Tests (IAT) for you to choose from to help confront your own biases and understand people better.
The Implicit Association Test (IAT) measures attitudes and beliefs that people may be unwilling or unable to report. The IAT may be especially interesting if it shows that you have an implicit attitude that you did not know about. For example, you may believe that women and men should be equally associated with science, but your automatic associations could show that you (like many others) associate men with science more than you associate women with science.
This is an example of my results, (You are not required to show your results). I learned more about myself from taking the test. Also I will now reflect on why I believe that Native Americans exist more in the past then in the present. I will bring these new thoughts into my work.
You do not need to submit a score or show your results, this is a way for us to understand our own biases as creators of media. We will discuss our reflections on Discord.
Includes Culture, Ethnicity, Age, Ability, Body Type, Gender Identity, Sexual Orientation.
You analyze the differences of the characters or people or creatures and make your own chart.

Create their own method
to report on the diversity equity and inclusion for the project or game that they will analyze.
The method for understanding Diversity Equity and Inclusion will be included in the presentation which is a part of the Design Analysis assignment coming up next.
Use the above template and add your DEI Report on the existing product.

You could do all the systems if you are interested, then have a different slide for each. When you take the implicit bias test, you could share in your slides about your biases and how they affect your research. When you apply the other tests, you would apply them to your project you are analyzing.
