Here comes a new challenger... The newest on-site games room to be participating - Trick House! If you like winning battles in creative and unique ways, trick yourself into joining Trick House!

This year, Trick House offers weekly challenges to complete on ladder, as well as challenges to complete from other rooms... and more! How do you participate in Trick House? Check out the room's /rfaqs! /rfaq basicinformation is a great place to start.

Getting points on the Trick House leaderboard has a rather complicated formula. UGO will be using an adaptation of the formula that looks as follows: Points = ((ELO-1000)/16+20)*difficulty (rounded to the nearest whole number). 

What this means is that you get 20 points for easy challenges, 40 points for medium challenges, and 60 points for tricky challenges. On top of that, every 16 ELO you are above 1000 awards another 1, 2 or 3 points, respectively. So at 1160 ELO, you get 10 bonus points for an easy, 20 for a medium, and 30 for a tricky challenge!

Furthermore, upon completing all challenges, you get 100 bonus points.

You can submit a replay for a challenge as many times as you want. If you complete it at a higher ELO, the difference in UGO points will also be awarded to you.

EDIT @ 22-08: The formula has been adjusted to ...+20)*difficulty (down from ...+30)*difficulty ).

A new list of Trick House challenges is available every week, resetting on Saturday at 00:00 GMT. 

Another way of getting UGO points is through Blitz Tournaments. Blitz tournaments are scheduled tournaments that also give leaderboard points. Instead of having a week to complete 9 challenges, you're given 45 minutes to complete ONE challenge. Every round, the bottom 25% of the starting players are eliminated (so 75% remain, 50% remain, 25% remain), until only one is left standing! These are hosted all throughout UGO, so keep your eyes peeled on Trick House's /events list! 

Winning a Blitz Tournament awards 75 points. On top of that, anyone completing a challenge in a blitz tour gets 15 points, and continuing to the next round awards everyone another 15 points. 

Trick House will initiate the "Welcoming Tricksters" event at the beginning of each cycle to familiarize users with the the room. These will be held on August 16th, August 23rd and August 30th, all at 01:00 GMT.

Events 

Trick house has 3 types of events held all throughout UGO: The Knockout Tournament, Eternatus Trick House Battles, and the Cross-room Bingo.

• Knockout Tournament is a three week long event. Every week, one of the Trick House challenges is the KO Tour challenge of the week. The top 66% of people who completed the challenges as the highest ELO move on to week 2, repeating this cycle once more. Then, the top 50% move on to week 3. At the end of week 3, the person who finished that challenge at the highest ELO wins! This event starts right away!

• A raid boss has appeared from Game Corner. Gather a team of 3 players, build a team of 3 Pokémon, and beat the boss within the 45 minutes it is active. Can you defeat Eternatus Trick House Battles? These are hosted all throughout UGO in Trick House, so keep an eye on the /events list!

• Cross-room Bingo features three weekly and one event-wide bingo boards that feature the other on-site games room! A new bingo board will be available every Saturday of UGO, at 00:00 GMT, so the first one will be available right away!

Event Points

The following UGO points will be given out during the Trick House events:

• Winning the Knockout Tournament rewards an astounding 300 points. Reaching the final bracket grants 200 points, the second bracket grants 100, and participating in the first bracket awards 25 points, as a consolation prize!

• Players that defeat an Eternatus Trick House Battle get 30 points each. If you manage to also complete the challenge while defeating the boss, you can even get a multiplier on those points. Half of these points are for Game Corner.

• Completing a weekly Cross-room Bingo task awards 30 points, half of which are for the room the task was for. Completing the entire bingo board awards an additional 75 points, just for Trick House!

• Completing an event-wide Cross-room Bingo task awards 50 points, half of which are for the room the task was for. Completing the entire bingo board awards an additional 100 points, just for Trick House!
