Do you enjoy playing classic table-top games with your online friends? Do you like playing on a team with only yourself? Do you appreciate not having to learn the rules to a bajillion new games to participate in UGO? And above all, do you love watching a strategy you set up unfurl in all its glory as you win? If so, Board Games is the room to be in!
Board Games has 10 different types of board games for you to enjoy: Mastermind, Lights Out, Battleship, Chain Reaction, Chess, Connect 4, Othello, Scrabble, Snakes and Ladders and Splendor.
Players can earn points from Board Games by playing any one of the following games! You can play up to 12 games of each type for points each day unless otherwise noted. Each day will reset at the same time as spotlight days, at midnight UTC.
If you win a game of Battleship, you get 5 points. If you lose a Battleship game, you get 2 points.
If you win a game of Chain Reaction, you get 4 + 4 x (the # of players) points. If you lose a Chain Reaction game, you get 5 points.
If you win a game of Chess, you get 14 points. If you lose a Chess game, you get 8 points. If you draw a Chess game, you get 11 points.

EDIT @ 22-08: Almost all games have seen an increase in points, but the max games has been lowered to 12. Splendor was increased further to fall more in line with the difficulty and time cost of the game.
Furthermore, the points of Board Games will follow a Struchni System, similar to the one used across all of UGO. That means that the points collected for every multiplayer Board Game is stored separately. At the end, the points for your best board game are multiplied by 1, the points in your second best board game by 1.15, and so on. Make sure you play different games to maximize your points!
Board Games will have 1 Introductory event and 2 Beginner's Guide events in the first week of UGO to introduce users to the basics of the room and some simple strategies for Chain Reaction and Othello. The intro event is held August 17th at 07:00 GMT. The Beginner's Workshop for Othello will be conducted on August 21st at 12:00 GMT, while the Beginner's Workshop for Chain Reaction will be conducted on August 24th at 07:00 GMT.
Overall, Board Games will be hosting 8 different events: the ScrabbleDex, the Othello Tournament, PokéScrabble Tournament, Countdown, Chess Variants, the Board Games Odyssey, Massive Chain Reaction, Chess variants tournament and the Medley Tournament.
The ScrabbleDex is an event that lasts all throughout UGO (and potentially beyond) where you try to fill up your Scrabble Pokédex, meaning anytime you play a Pokémon name in PokéScrabble and subsequently win that game, the Pokémon is added to your ScrabbleDex. Gotta Scrabble 'em All!
In Countdown, race against the clock to solve word and number puzzles to earn the highest score! Held August 19th at 19:00 GMT.

The Medley Tournament combines various board games into one massive elimination style tournament. Held September 6th at 21:00 GMT.
Players can earn the following UGO points by participating in Board Games' events.
Adding a new Pokémon to your Scrabble dex awards you points equal to the length of the Pokémon's name -4 (so 5 letters gives 1, 6 gives 2, etc). There will also be various hidden bonuses awarded at the end of UGO. The biggest bonus will be for having the biggest ScrabbleDex at the end of UGO!
Players who participate in the Othello, Scrabble, Chain Reaction, Chess Variants, or Countdown tournaments can each earn 20 points per tournament, but by doing well, can earn the following rewards:
1st Place: 200 points;
2nd Place: 100 points;
Semifinalists: 50 points.
Players who participate in the Medley tournament can each earn 30 points, but by doing well, can earn the following rewards:
