Q:  Do I have to get clearances to chaperone?

A:  YES.  This is a school district policy; no adult will be permitted to attend without having clearances on file in the district office and having been approved as a band volunteer at a school board meeting. 

Q:  What clearances do I need?

A:  PA Child Abuse and PA Criminal Background check.  In addition, you need to fill out the UDA Self-Reporting Commitment Form.  See Ms. Cramer for paperwork or visit https://udasd.org/volunteers-2/.

Q:  How long are my clearances good for?

A:  Five years.  If it's been longer than that, you need new ones.
