Recommended Equipment

What Should I Own To Be In Band? Or, How Should I Care For My Instrument?

Clarinets and Saxophones - A reed saver that always has 4 reeds in it, played in rotation every week.

Trumpets, Euphoniums, and Tubas - Oil valves daily and grease slides often.

Horns - Oil valves daily (with rotary valve oil) and grease slides often.

Trombones - Keep the slide and tuning slide greased and operable. Be sure to have Miss Cramer teach you how to grease the slide with cold cream (more effective than oil!).
