Humanities 101

Humanities 101 is an advanced art and music history course designed for Honors students in eleventh and twelfth grade.   We study the progression of architecture, sculpture, painting, music, and philosophy from Medieval through modern times.  We aim to determine exactly what it meant to be human in each historical era.

Most course materials will be posted to the course's Canvas page.

In the first 3 chapters of What to Listen for in Music, Copland references Bach's Well-Tempered Klavier.  Click here for a list of reference recordings.
