Janet Yellen

Born in Brooklyn, New York, 1946. Janet Yellen is the first woman to occupy the seat of the US Secretary of the Treasury, since January 26, 2021, under the presidency of Joe Biden.

She obtained her PhD at UC Berkeley and has worked as an economic analyst for different presidencies of the US.

Her work is focused on labor economics and the macroeconomy, and her research has been published in some of the most important economics journals, obtaining an important influence on the field.
