Athletic Communications/Marketing Internship

During my time at Miami, I took it upon myself to become involved with the hockey program, specifically the Communications department. Since then, the Communications department has blended with the broadcasting and marketing departments, expanding my role.

I have developed skills within the hockey industry while becoming proficient with both StatCrew and Genius software for inputting during hockey games. I would also run period-by-period reports for distribution to those on press row for home and away hockey operations personnel.

Additionally, I spent time categorizing photos for graphics and spent office hours working on the school's website for athletics—providing help and aid to the Athletic Communications and Marketing department.

I worked through the Spring of 2021, helping with sporting events for the baseball and hockey programs. It was a chance to help the communications and marketing department here at Miami in an expanded role from my prior season.

After completing my Junior year, I decided to focus on my role with the Student Managers program and keep in touch with Perfect Game. Therefore, I did take a step back from things with the communications department. Still, it was an excellent experience for me and something that has helped me increase and grow my skill set as a prospective employee of any organization.
