Hitz Baseball & Softball Training Center

During my high school years, I was able to work for the HITZ baseball and softball training center in Chesterfield, Michigan. While with HITZ, I started as a desk worker. I accumulated experience in a front desk role regarding merchandise sales in the facility and working with EZFacility scheduling software. I was promoted from a desk role to the facility manager. I oversaw three other employees, helped with social media & marketing, and provided coaching for catchers and infielders across multiple age levels.

When HITZ owner Rob Stevenson partnered with 3N2 Sports, I was tasked with promoting the new partnership. I decided (with Rob's approval) that I would revamp the organization's website and write a press release so that all of the HITZ organization members were alerted of the news. On top of that, I assisted with HITZ's social media, promoting marketing such as the 3N2 partnership and holiday deals.

While this is more exclusive to business aspects, it is still an experience I feel is valuable and has helped develop me professionally. In terms of baseball experience, I was privileged to have a few coaches of 10u, 12u, and 13u travel teams ask me to work directly with their catchers. I would focus on the basic fundamentals of being behind the plate for these teams' catchers, covering topics such as blocking, throwing to bases, bunting, and framing for the older teams.
