Resources on Cash Based Intervention

The Cash in Emergencies Toolkit has been devised by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to make tools, practical guidance and minimum standards easily accessible to staff and volunteers.

Cash Hub

The new Cash Hub is hosted by the British Red Cross as a resource for the work of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to deliver cash and voucher assistance. It houses a virtual school for practitioners and holds operational knowledge and key documents while enabling staff and volunteers of the Movement to ask questions and exchange information.

Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP)
WASH and Cash and Voucher Assistance

The potential of cash and voucher assistance (CVA) cannot be realized by organizations working alone. Since our founding in 2005, CaLP has been at the forefront of promoting and improving CVA across the humanitarian sector. CaLP’s purpose is to maximise the potential that humanitarian CVA can bring to people in contexts of crisis, as one component of broader financial assistance. CaLP envisions a future where people are enabled to overcome crises with dignity, by exercising choice and their right to self-determination in order to achieve long term well-being. Our role as a collective is to optimise the quality and scale of humanitarian CVA by generating alignment in the approaches and actions of those within and across our network.

Cash and Markets in the WASH Sector (TWiG)
WASH Cluster

The main objective of the GWC Cash and Markets TWIG (the “TWIG”) is to strengthen the Global WASH Cluster members’ understanding of and engagement with market-based approaches, as well as to explore and build evidence on market-based approaches in WASH.
