Camporall

The 2025 theme was MAGIC!  Camp William B. Snyder in Haymarket, VA, is under an hour west of STM. The weekend of September 27-28, 2025, our troop helped support an amazing weekend of Cub fun and family camping for over 1,000 people. The event is super friendly for both experienced campers and those just getting started. Our Troop 2535 Scouts had the option to stay in a staff cabin with bunk beds, a kitchen and indoor plumbing. But they all chose to pitch tents outside the cabin to earn nights of tent camping. We prepared our own breakfast, lunch and dinner at the cabin.

We staffed two areas, Gaga Ball and The Pirate Ship, from 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 5 pm. This year's program featured other favorite stations like BBs, Archery, and the Monkey Bridge, the Obstacle Course, kite flying, and indoor games. At 5:30 pm, our own Parochial Vicar, Fr. Barnes, presided over the Camporall Mass at the outdoor chapel.

Join us again September 23-25, 2026!  Scouts and adults who just want to come out for the day are welcome, too.
