Triumph TR6 - V8 blue by Andreas Busch

  • Inside is a Rover stroked to five litres.

  • Equiped with a Megasquirt 2 it is quite reliable and fuel saving.

  • Exhaust is custom to clear the engine compartment.

  • Gearbox is the R380 from Rover.

  • Steel Flywheel and clutch is McLeod.

  • LSD is Quaife.

  • Shocks are custom made Bilstein.

  • Front brakes are vented from Ford Sierra Cosworth.

  • Wheels are the MWS 7x16 from Morgan and need a little bit of wheelarch extension to fit.

  • Swap was done in the 80s and started with the parts from old Rover SD1 with 3,5 litres.

  • As engine and gearbox is much lighter than original and suspension is modified it performs quite well and is reliable now for nearly 40 years.

  • Tyres 215/55x16" - 7x16 wire wheels from Dayton and 205/60 seem to fit on Stock tr6.
