1955 TR2 Macau red racer by Charles Kirkby, Malta

Very successful racer from late 70's 80's 90's - has raced extensively on every UK and German track - now has a yearly outing at Malta Classic GP and the odd hill-climb which she still loves and still very competitive.

The inspiration to 'tub' in aluminium the cockpit area came to me from the Macau winning TR2 - which I think is a very beautiful car, however, I do prefer mine.

One off, built and raced by the legendary Henry Toombs of Xanthos Lotus fame, recently found in Germany, with great history:

  • mostly aluminium body, very light,

  • 1962 BRM formula 1 front brakes,

  • original drilled discs and rear Alufin 11 inch

  • 5 point diff, watts linkage, decked block, angled head

  • very very fast

Just making some adjustments and fitting some new (old) Michelin radial reds and a softer paddle clutch and a 4 syncro hi torque cox.
