Feel free to collect firewood from under the outside laundry stairs. If your chalet has a BBQ on the deck, please place the board under it to protect the wood. BBQ areas will be cleaned the following day.

🚤 BOATING
Moorings are marked with green poles. Please avoid throwing stones or interfering with the boats. The idle zone for motorboats is 30m from the moorings. Waterskiing is not permitted in the bay.
🍳 BREAKFAST
We do not serve breakfast on-site. For a fantastic meal with views, try East Head Café (200m). Ask Reception for other recommendations or refer to the Restaurants section.
🕑 CHECK-IN
Check-in begins at 14:00. Early arrivals are welcome to enjoy the beach or visit East Head Café. For arrivals after 19:00, please notify us in advance or call 044 384 0745.

Check-out is by 10:00. For departures before 07:30, kindly settle your account the day prior.

To support our inverter system during periods of load shedding, we no longer provide heaters in all chalets by default. However, should you require one, we’re happy to supply a portable heater on request. Contact Reception and we’ll bring one to your chalet. Thank you for helping us conserve energy while still ensuring your comfort. Each chalet has a fan.

🌳 MILKWOOD TREES
Our resort takes its name from the iconic Milkwood Trees, which are indigenous to South Africa and a defining feature of the Southern Overberg region. These trees produce small, yellow-green flowers with a distinctive sour scent in late summer and autumn — so if you notice an unusual fragrance in the air, now you know why! As one of South Africa’s protected tree species, we’re proud to preserve them. From July to January, they bear juicy black berries that are a favourite snack for the local birdlife.

Each chalet includes one designated parking bay. As space is limited, we kindly ask guests to park considerately. Additional vehicles and visitor cars should please be parked in the municipal parking area located at the traffic circle directly opposite Reception. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

🔐 SAFES
All chalets are equipped with safes. Please secure your valuables.
🦂 SCORPIONS
From time to time, particularly during the rainy season, Cape Rock Scorpions may be seen around the resort. While they prefer to stay outdoors under rocks, they occasionally find their way into chalets. These scorpions are not aggressive and will only sting if provoked. Their sting is not dangerous and is comparable to a mild bee sting. They are nocturnal creatures, active mostly at night.
If someone is stung, we recommend consulting a doctor or pharmacist for peace of mind. Please do not harm the scorpions, they are part of our natural ecosystem. If found outside, simply avoid them. If one is inside your chalet, it can be gently removed using a firm object and relocated outdoors, or you may contact Reception for assistance. Cape Rock Scorpions are black, with slim tails and noticeably thick pincers.
🔒 SECURITY
Security personnel are on-site daily from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. While Knysna is generally a safe destination, we kindly encourage guests to lock their chalet doors when stepping out and overnight. Although we take every precaution to maintain a secure environment, we advise that valuables be safely stored and not left unattended. Your peace of mind is important to us.

Chalets are serviced daily. For special requests, call Reception (211) or Housekeeping (ext. 246). This service does not include washing or ironing.
🚭 SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted inside chalets.
